PDCA Standards Rock Your WorldRock my world? Really? You bet. If you’re a painting and decorating or coatings contractor, the PDCA Standards are an important part of operating your business more successfully. If you’re a consumer of the painting contractors work, the PDCA Standards help ensure you receive the best value for your dollar. How is it the PDCA Standards can benefit both the contractor and the customer/consumer? They’re written to establish the correct path, a measurable practice and provide a ’standard’ from which the industry can operate. Development of a new Standard starts with determining if there is a legitmate reason and need. Data is gathered, a draft is written, edited and eventually, after a lot of review work and final editing, PDCA members and the public are invited to review and comment on a proposed new Standard. After the comment period, the proposed PDCA Standard goes through a final approval process and finally becomes available to the world.
